Parksyde to Benefit from New Fund
Parksyde will benefit from the new endowment fund established by the Older Persons Community Centre Trust with the Geyser Community Foundation.
Geyser Gifts $38,737 to Local Community
Gifts totalling $38,737 were presented to 36 local community groups, individuals and charities at the Geyser Community Foundation Awards Function held in Rotorua recently.
Resettled Fund enables local Scholarships to continue
Local scholarships are set to continue thanks to the Putaruru Veterinary Club Trust re-settling its funds and establishing an endowment fund with the Geyser Community Foundation.
The John Chadwick Rangatahi Presentation
Well-known and respected local lawyer, John Te Manihera Chadwick NZOM died suddenly in Rotorua in 2017. A man of words and music, he worked selflessly for 30 years with community organisations that made a difference for young people.
Causes and effects
Back in 2002, The Warehouse Group founder Sir Stephen Tindall and Tauranga lawyer Bill Holland, discovered a new way of thinking about charity. It was a model that had been operating in the US and Canada for many decades; a movement called “community foundations”.
