Scholarships & Awards
Some of our generous donors have chosen to make provision for scholarships through the Geyser Community Foundation.
The specific criteria and application deadlines vary between scholarships and awards.
Most scholarships open 1 June and close on 30 June each year. However, some vary so please check each Scholarship to confirm dates.

Arts Fund
The Fund represents donations from individuals, organisations and businesses in the local district communities who want to contribute towards a permanent legacy for the benefit of their communities to engage with and participate in disciplines of art.
Environment Fund
Mary Irvine established this Fund in 2014, the income from which is to be directed at charitable purposes and projects which advance the protection, promotion and preservation of the natural environment, flora and fauna of the Rotorua and Taupo district communities.
The Tindall Foundation Funding
Applications have closed for 2024.
The Tindall Foundation has a unique model whereby Local Donation Managers distribute donations on their behalf in their local communities. As a Local Donation Manager, Geyser Community Foundation distributes donations to projects that support The Tindall Foundation’s Family / Whanau focus area in the Rotorua and Taupo Districts, including Turangi, Mangakino and Murupara.
