Past pupils of Reporoa College wanting to retrain or upskill will benefit from the Peter, Joan and Kay Dean Fund managed by the Geyser Community Foundation.
Alan Wills, Chairman of the Peter, Joan and Kay Dean Reporoa Educational Trust said the grant is for educational purposes for people who have attended Reporoa College for all or at least part of their secondary school education.
“It can be used, for example, for study at a university, polytechnic or private training provider located in New Zealand, or for the study costs associated with an apprenticeship or other practical, life skills or personal development training.
“Applicants must be aged between 16 and 25 years of age and currently reside or have previously lived in the Rotorua or Taupo District.
“Trustees hope this opportunity will make a significant difference to one or more people’s lives and help them reach their full potential.”
Applications open on 1 July and will close on 31 August 2022.
