We are delighted to welcome Rosie Riggir, the new General Manager of the Geyser Community Foundation.
Trustees believe Rosie has the skills and experience to grow Geyser’s profile and lead the Foundation into the second phase of development, which will extend the activities of Geyser and grow the donor base so more funds can flow to a broader group of recipients.
Rosie said she is both thrilled and deeply honoured to be appointed as Geyser’s General Manager.
Over the past 20 plus years, she has enjoyed an exciting and dynamic career in the arts and cultural sectors in Aotearoa, Europe and Australia.
Her journey began in the music industry and as the producer of the very first Fly My Pretties production, but it was in 2014, when she produced the inaugural Northland Youth Summit, that her passion for philanthropy truly ignited. By providing funding and resources, a small team of two empowered 100 young people from Te Tai Tokerau to drive meaningful change in their communities.
Since then, she has worked with leading cultural institutions and received invaluable mentorship from Australia’s most influential fundraisers, including Nick Mitzevich, Director of the National Gallery of Australia, and Kenneth Watkins, Philanthropy Director at the Australian Ballet.
Rosie and her family relocated to Rotorua three years ago (her mother’s family originates from the Bay of Plenty) and they fell in love with the roto, ngahere, wildlife; the land, and believe there is much to nurture, protect and grow here.
I can’t wait to share in the joy of community giving with our vibrant community.

Only by rowing our canoe in unison
Will we reach our destination.
Rosie will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Foundation and more importantly, to attract and engage with donors in the support of their community.
She will commence duties on 3 March 2025.
