St Faith's Restoration Project

For more than 100 years, St Faith’s Anglican Church has stood as a place of worship, connection, culture, and community in the heart of Ōhinemutu.

St Faith’s Anglican Church is one of Rotorua’s most iconic heritage buildings and holds deep significance for Ngāti Whakaue, the wider community, and visitors from around the world.

Known for its taonga, stunning stained glass windows and rich history, St Faith’s is a nationally important icon of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Today, St Faith’s requires significant restoration work to protect and preserve this special place for future generations. Restoration work is already underway, with a major restoration programme beginning in 2026 to ensure the building remains safe, strong, and standing for years to come.

Your support will help fund vital restoration and preservation work so future generations can continue to gather, worship, learn, and experience the beauty and history of St Faith’s Anglican Church. Every contribution, large or small, will make a difference.

By donating, you are helping protect an important part of Rotorua’s history and preserving a place that holds memories, meaning, and connection for so many people.

Large, small, regular or one off, all donations will help keep St Faith’s standing strong for generations to come.

Leave a Lasting Legacy

A gift to St Faith’s in your Will is a lasting way to support the future of this cherished heritage and spiritual landmark, ensuring it endures for generations to come.
