Project Tongariro Legacy Fund
For more than 40 years, Project Tongariro has worked alongside iwi, volunteers, schools, conservation partners and local communities to protect and restore the unique landscapes of Tongariro National Park and the Central Plateau.
Tongariro National Park is one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most treasured natural places.
Home to active volcanoes, native forests, alpine ecosystems and internationally significant cultural heritage, it is recognised as the world’s first Dual UNESCO World Heritage Site and remains one of only three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in New Zealand.
Protecting a place of such significance is an ongoing commitment. Every year, Project Tongariro works to restore habitats, protect native wildlife, support environmental education and connect communities with conservation.
Your donation will help ensure this important work continues for generations to come. Every contribution, large or small, will make a lasting difference.
By donating, you are investing in the long term protection of one of New Zealand’s most extraordinary landscapes and helping create a healthier future for our environment and our communities.
Large, small, regular or one off, every gift helps protect Tongariro for generations to come.
