Norman Steele Memorial Scholarship
Applications are now closed.
2024 – 2025 Value: $TBC
One scholarship is available to a student who can whakapapa to Te Arawa, and who is studying medicine full-time at one of the two registered Medical Schools in New Zealand. Applicants must have completed one year of full-time study at the Medical School at either Auckland University or Otago University.

Kaingaroa Roading Scholarship
Applications have closed for 2023.
2024 Value: $tbc
Residents of Kaingaroa, Minginui, Ruatahuna, Te Whaiti, Murupara and the immediate surrounding areas can apply for assistance from the this Fund.
The scholarship is for educational purposes for people who have completed their secondary school education or who are in their final year of secondary school. The scholarship can be used, for example, for study at a university, polytechnic or private training provider located in New Zealand, or for the study costs associated with an apprenticeship.

Up to four Scholarships are available to residents in the Rotorua and Taupo District communities for the Associate of Speech NZ examination fees.

The Peter, Joan and Kay Dean Reporoa Educational Past Pupils Award is for former students of Reporoa College who want to retrain or upskill.

Disabled sportspeople in the Rotorua and Taupo District communities benefit from the Ross Bohm Fund.
Applicants must currently reside in the Rotorua or Taupo District communities.*

Cockburn Fund

Individuals with chronic long-term disability who live in the Taupo District community receive assistance from this Fund. Gifts are made for the provision of specialised disability equipment, including vehicle modifications and associated home modifications, and disability costs which are not covered by the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC).

Colin & Jenny McDonald Fund

Half the annual award is to assist disabled persons of any age to buy specialist equipment needed to enhance their day to day living, work or education requirements and opportunities.
Half the annual award is to assist classical musicians (as a preference but not limited to) of any age to further their studies to gain tertiary, advanced or diploma level qualifications from nationally or internationally recognised bodies, or to assist with the purchase of instruments, music and texts for individuals who are working towards such qualification.

Ngatuku Farms Fund

The Ngatuku Farms Fund provides assistance to individuals (children and adults) who have special needs or who are physically or intellectually disabled, or to an organisation which supports special needs or disabled clients. Applicants must live within the Rotorua District.*
