It is with mixed emotions that we announce the departure of our incredible and long-standing Executive Officer from the Geyser Community Foundation.
Annette’s story is Geyser’s story. Her impact on the Foundation has been nothing short of remarkable. First appointed in 2010, her vision and unwavering commitment to our work has significantly shaped our success and strengthened our bonds within the communities we serve in the Rotorua District, in the Taupō community and indeed, throughout the Central Volcanic Region.
Thanks to her hard work and guidance, we’ve reached new heights in our fundraising efforts and expanded our reach into our local communities and beyond making a difference to the lives of more people in need.
Annette’s passion, warmth and generosity, as well as her wonderful sense of humour have been inspirational.
Under her leadership, funds received so far total $9.4 million, more than $17 million is anticipated in wills, and in excess of $3 million has been gifted to deserving local causes since Geyser first launched to the public in Rotorua in 2008.
Annette will always be an important part of the “Geyser Family” and while we will miss her enormous energy, dedication and leadership, we wish her well for the future.
