Applications are open to community organisations and groups working in the Family / Whanau focus area in the Rotorua and Taupo communities for funding from The Tindall Foundation (TTF).
Chair of the Geyser Community Foundation’s Distribution Advisory Committee, Ann Nicholas said Geyser is now known as a Local Donation Manager (formerly Funding Manager) for TTF, a philanthropic family foundation working throughout Aotearoa to support families, community and the environment.
“As a Local Donation Manager, we distribute donations on behalf of TTF to projects that support TTF’s Family / Whanau focus area.”
All applications for TTF funding must be made to the Geyser Community Foundation.
“We want people to know that there are a number of changes to be aware of this year. Firstly, TTF has updated its strategy which now has an emphasis on community organisations and groups leading positive change in their community, and supporting children, young people and their whanau to be resilient, secure and thriving.
“This is not a big departure from how donations have been given in the past or who they have been given to but it is believed the new direction will allow for greater flexibility and responsiveness to new and emerging areas of need.
“In addition, the process just got a whole lot easier with only one application form to complete, which has allowed us to bring the closing date for applications forward to 30 April 2022.
Geyser Trustees have approved gifts totalling more than $398,000 since first being appointed by TTF to manage its funding in 2013.
“Nine local charities and community organisations shared gifts totalling $48,000 last year.”
