What a pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
The recent House Concert, held in support of the Michael Pilaar Memorial Music Fund, was a beautiful gathering of community, music and generosity. We were treated to exceptional performances by some of Rotorua and Taupo’s finest young classical musicians, and it was truly heartening to see so many familiar faces sharing in the experience.
We are deeply grateful to Helene Philips, Chair of the Geyser Community Foundation, for hosting us in her beautiful home. The opportunity to enjoy not just the music but also the artwork and sculpture on display made the afternoon especially memorable.
Thanks to the kind and generous support of attendees, we are delighted to share that we reached our goal of bringing the Fund to $100,000. In total, the House Concert raised over $14,000, which will help ensure continued support for emerging talent.
