Thank you for choosing to support the St Faith’s Church Ohinemutu Fund. Your donation will help build a bright future for this much loved Church set in the Maori village of Ohinemutu on the shores of Lake Rotorua – now and forever.
St Faith’s Church Ohinemutu has established an endowment fund with the Geyser Community Foundation. Donations made to the fund will be invested by Geyser and the capital retained forever. Income earned on the capital will be made available to the Church for charitable purposes every year once the fund reaches its investment target.
The annual income will be used for the general running of St Faith’s Church Ohinemutu, including maintaining the historic, intricately decorated, timber Church, which is dearly loved by a growing number of people from New Zealand and from around the world.
The first Christian Church in Rotorua, St Faith’s Church Ohinemutu was voted one of the top 10 landmarks in New Zealand on TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel website in its Travellers Choice awards in June 2015.
In 2017 Te Hani o te Whakapono (St Faith's Anglican Church) in Ohinemutu was officially listed as a Wahi Tupuna by Heritage New Zealand. Wahi Tupuna identifies places that are important to Maori for their ancestral significance, and their associated cultural and traditional values.
